From a very young age Tevita Lomu has wanted to be a musician. One day very long ago when Tevita was just four years old he was watching cartoons when his brother changed the channel. Of course being a little kid he was outraged but the channel it was on caught his attention. It was a music video on MtV for the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Otherside” thus starting Tevita’s dream of becoming a musician.
Coming from a very musical family it was inevitable that Tevita would eventually play music.
His mom and dad always singing to him, His oldest brother in show choir, his other brother a multi-instrumentalist, and his little sister a hula dancer. When Tevita was Ten years old he learned to play his first instrument: the ukulele. Later in life he saw his brother playing the guitar and wanted to be just as good as him if not better, so when Tevita was twelve he took guitar classes; where he met ansel and Sammy.
Tevita would always play guitar when he was home, but when he was home alone instead of looking to destroy the house like most adolescent boys Tevita would sing knowing he was in the comfort of being all alone. Whenever he heard his brothers singing Tevita would join in with them making sure not to be heard out of line. Tevita would get so nervous trying to impress them that his teenage boy going through puberty would crack every 5 seconds. His brothers would always tell him how much of a bad singer he was. It wasn’t till about thirteen or fourteen that Tevita would find his voice.

Tevita first started playing in bands when he was 13. He started out playing bass in a 4 piece metal band because Even though he hated metal music that was the only band that would take him. Tevita met Sammy when he was 13 and joined his band that Sammy was making to play a friends birthday party. Tevita, knowing Sammy’s skill level, tried to be a definite member in Sammy’s band even though he later quit to be in another band. He now laughs at himself now because of how his older brother called him a “band whore”.
He quickly started a New band called The Blank Minded in which he played guitar where he was more comfortable. He went through musicians after musicians and eventually decided to have Ansel Gonzalez join his band. At Ansels first rehearsal with the band Tevita knew he made the right choice which led them to eventually Starting what is now The Winders.

Every now and then Tevita will incorporate things including his personal life and the things he sees in his imagination. He has now realized that even though he still wants the world to hear him what he really wants to do is make the people of the world dance with his friends right by his side.
